Google Workspace foundation

Prioritize Google Workspace as the first connected business ecosystem for BOS: email, calendar, meetings, files, spreadsheets, and presentation assets.

Launch strategy

For soft launch, BOS can show clear connection foundations before full OAuth is wired. Gmail and Calendar should be the first real integrations because they support outreach, scheduling, follow-up, and daily CRM workflows.

Every AI-generated email or message should be drafted first, reviewed by the user, and approved before sending.

Gmail connection test

Send a real test email through the Gmail or Google Workspace account connected to BOS. This confirms the production email setup is working before users send real outreach.

Gmail sending setup guide

To send email from Gmail or Google Workspace, users should connect a dedicated sending account and use a secure app password instead of their normal Google password.

  1. Choose the Gmail or Google Workspace account BOS should send from.
  2. Turn on Google 2-Step Verification for that account.
  3. Create a Google App Password named BOS Gmail SMTP.
  4. Save the app password securely. Do not paste normal Google passwords into BOS.
  5. BOS should draft first, let the user review, then require approval before sending.
Launch note: this page documents the setup flow now. Actual Gmail sending should be wired after credentials, review, approval, and sending safeguards are ready.
